ALL ABOUT WOVOV

WOVOV was founded with a bold vision — to close the gap in women’s political participation and create a strong platform where women can lead, influence policies, and shape the future of governance. At the heart of this vision is a passionate and accomplished leader: Dr. Mary Mena Akpoguma Okuoimose, whose dedication to women’s empowerment inspired the birth of this movement.

Dr. Mary Mena Akpoguma Okuoimose is a visionary leader, political mobilizer, and advocate for women’s leadership and empowerment. She brings a wealth of academic excellence, international leadership experience, and grassroots political engagement to the movement.

Dr. Okuoimose believes that empowering women politically is not just about representation — it’s about transforming society.

Her leadership is centered on:

  • Mobilizing women to lead and participate actively in politics.
